Annette Obrestad Looks Forward in Participating at the 2010 World Series of Poker

Norwegian poker player Annette Obrestad, the online poker phenom who started playing the game at fifteen years old and won the inaugural World Series of Poker Europe Main Event in 2007, turned twenty-one years old on September 18th, 2009. Obrestad said that she is very excited since she will have a lot of new opportunities in the poker circuit.

Obrestad celebrated her birthday upstairs at the Casino at the Empire in London while play on Day 1a of the 2009 World Series of Poker Europe's first poker event continued downstairs. The opportunities waiting for Obrestad lies mainly in the US, where until now, the Betfair Poker sponsored poker player has been unable to show her skills.

Despite being a WSOP bracelet holder and a legend in the online poker circuit, she has yet to participate in the Las Vegas edition of the poker circuit's most legendary event. Obrestad said that she has been waiting for 6 years for the opportunity to participate at the Las Vegas edition of the WSOP. She added that she will definitely play a full schedule of poker events at the 2010 World Series of Poker but that is still more than 9 months away.

The World Poker Tour's (WPT) Festa al Lago at Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 20th, 2009-October 26th, 2009 will most likely be her major poker event debut in the US. For the meantime, she plans on playing all 4 bracelet poker events at the World Series of Poker Europe and the inaugural Caesars Cup event, as captain of the European team facing a poker team from the Americas.
