PokerNews is bringing poker enthusiasts an exciting $23,000 World Poker Tour (WPT) Race on PartyPoker. The poker player that will come in the top spot of the World Poker Tour Race Final, they will win a prize package to the WPT Grand Prix de Paris, which takes place on May 8th, 2010-May 13th, 2010 at the Aviation Club de France.
To qualify, all interested players needed to do is download PartyPoker through PokerNews. After that, players should earn as much points as they can get. The qualification period for the tournament runs from March 1st, 2010 (00:00 GMT) through March 31st, 2010 (23:59 GMT).
The top fifty poker players with the most points at the end of the qualification period will earn a slot in the PokerNews WPT Race Final, which will take place on April 11th, 2010 at 21:00 GMT.
Not only will the top fifty poker players will make it but each week, PokerNews will release "hotspots" and poker players that find themselves in one of these hotspots will also earn entry into the WPT Race Final.
The winner of the Race Final will receive a prize package worth $15,000 to the World Poker Tour Grand Prix de Paris. 2nd place will win a Euro 5,000 euros prize package into the WPT Barcelona.
There will also be a $1,000 cash pool, divided from 3rd place onwards as per the standard payout structure of PartyPoker.
